In-Home & Offsite Estate Sale FAQ's

If you are in any position with the need to sell the contents of a home or business, you may need an estate sale – in-home, offsite, or online. An estate sale or online auction is much different than a garage sale, as it is handled by professionals and advertised accordingly. Even if you are in a sale restricted property, we can help.

We have multiple options for estate liquidations including In-Home or Offsite Estate Sales, Online Auctions, Cash Buyouts, Storage Liquidations & more. We will tailor the sale to best suit your needs. Each option can include a free consultation, moving if necessary, sale setup, and holding the sale or auction. We can also provide referrals for clearout services.

We recommend asking a few questions. Is the company insured? Can the company provide referrals? Has the company been in business for at least four years? Is the staff friendly and approachable?  Does the company have a good buyer base? How will the home be left after the sale? Does the company provide a solution to clear the contents of the home? When and how are you paid? Does the company have an online presence? Do they charge a setup fee or is that included in the commission? All of these are questions to ask any company in the interview process.

Gallery One provides solutions for these circumstances including Offsite Estate Sales, Cash Buyouts, and Online Estate Sale Auctions. We are able to move your items to our location to hold the sale. This is a great solution for HOA restrictions, gated communities, time restrictions and the like.

Once the setup in home has begun, an in home sale will take 10-14 days. If moved offsite, the sale will take 14-21 days depending on our gallery schedule.

Rates for in-home sales or sales moved offsite are determined by value of items, labor involved and moving costs, if applicable. We are happy to provide a free consultation so we can accurately provide a quote. We are a solutions-based company ready to provide help in many circumstances.

Do not throw anything away, as our professionals know what will sell, and we are here to assist. All you need to do to prepare for an estate sale is to pull your personal property (photos, documents, etc) and any items you want to keep by either removing them or tagging them. We will handle the rest! We know liquidating is not a small task, and we are here to help every step of the way.

No. Our specialists know what will sell, and we encourage you to let us make those decisions. We find that people are surprised all the time at what will sell. This sorting is included in the setup and organization process. This will help to alleviate some of the stress in the liquidation or downsizing process.

With our online sales model, a full consignment report will accompany your payment. This report shows what was sold and how much it sold for. For your convenience, all of our past sales stay online, so you can even compare it to the website.

Typically, these items are donated to those in need. With our sales model, we only have a few insignificant items left unsold after a sale. If there is a special circumstance, please feel free to ask us about options.

Online Estate Sale Auction FAQ's

When the auction opens, click on the catalog and register to bid in that particular auction by agreeing to payment terms.

Place your bids on your desired lots. You can also “watch” lots that you are interested in.

During auction closing, watch your lots as the timer begins to run out. You may continue to bid until the timer is expired. The timer will continue to extend the time as long as the bidding continues.

You may also place a “max” bid, please note: this WILL NOT drive up the bid to that amount. This will simply secure the lot for you up to that particular amount. Just because you have a max bid of $100, you will not necessarily pay $100 for it, it will be sold at the highest amount.

During auction closing you may continue to bid until the timer is expired. The timer will continue to extend the time as long as the bidding continues. This is a soft close.

All bids are binding and cannot be canceled or retracted. If there is an error or malfunction in the system and you must edit a bid, you must contact our office via email at info@galleryoneestatesales.com.

Pickup days are typically the day after the sale ends. Please refer to your invoice for the date, time and location of pickup. Pickup times are firm. Storage is not available, nor are we able to relocate any items to other sale locations.
